Thank you both for the advice on the ants, I don't think I can unscrew any panels to clear them out. I might try the bomb or ant rid. I will have a look on gumtree for a water tank. It would be great if I could save some money on it.
I thought I would practice reversing in the local shopping centre early in the morning. I will definitely try looking over my right shoulder. Maybe not make such a spectacle of myself the first time I pull up to a park with her ⛺️

G'day Channi,
Smed's right about the corn flour. It kills ants. We had a big nest of red soldier ants on our property once.
It covered about 4 square meters. I scattered a kilo of corn flour over the nest and they were gone in a few days.
Enjoy your travels out there.
Cheers, Brian
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Hi Channi,
Welcome to Grey Nomads Australia!
Thanx for your introduction, we look forward to further updates. Back in 1999 hubby picked up a 14 foot Viscount and took me on a 3 month adventure from NSW, north to Qld, across to NT, down the middle to SA then home. I recall opening my front door to a pile of mail that the neighbours were nice enough to slip under the door and cried. All statements, bills and only one party invite (don't have many friends ha ha!). However, it was after this taste of life on the road I was hooked and we have travelled more since and have no regrets.
So I am very excited for you and hope you keep us all updated with whatever you like to share.
Cheers,
Sharon

Hi Brian, I will grab some corn flour today.
Thanks for the welcome Sharon. Your van is super cute. I would like to post some photos of mine but my phone camera is cracked and using the camera takes too much time now days

We are only doing little trips now as the kids are in school, so I won't have to worry about mail lol.
I have booked our first weekend away at forest glen on the sunshine coast this weekend. I am really keen to get out there and try her out

Hi Channi,
I'm more of a novice as I don't even own a caravan yet LOL. I am in the process of fantasizing about a lifestyle that appeals to me but a bit too chicken to have a try at the moment. How did your trip to Forest Glen go? Any tips for another novice?
