Hi Darrell and Sandra

It is so good to hear from you and that you have made the decision to travel as we have.
We are now at Emerald in Qld and will be here now till 24th June when we will be leaving to go to Cape York. We are having an absolute ball on the road meeting people and working a little as we go to assist with our travel costs. We will be leaving the caravan here and tenting it for the trip north which we are really looking forward to.

Hope all is going well at Cudgegong and we think that is a great idea to keep the site there as a base.
Please keep in touch and if we are anywhere near you it will be great to catch up.

Kerri and Ted

Life is beautiful

Hi All,
We arrived in Mataranka, Bitter Springs, about a week ago and have been flat chat ever since. We'll be here for awhile as we're currently working at the Mataranka Cabins & Camping Park, next door to the "Springs".
On the way over from Mareeba we spent some time at Normanton again and I picked up a nice Barra 79cm. Then onto CloncurryCorellala Dam, Mnt Isa and Camooweal. We free camped most of the way and at Cloncurry thCorellala Dam was kind enough to part with a great feed of yabbies.
At Camooweal we free camped for a few days at the "Billabong" amazing if your going through that way it's a must do and you wont regret it.
If your up Mataranka way this park is a great spot, close to the Bitter Springs thermal pool and within easy walking distance, great for the tired old bones and fantastic to relax in, only thing missing is the bar service ;-)
Call in and say hello.

A smile but lasts awhile, the memory can last forever... I smile a lot when I'm knock'n back a coldy...

We are at Longreach .

Got 3 good fish yesterday ( Thomson River ) .

Have been here since Friday . The free camp at Apex Riverside Park .
Pretty crowded every night . Around 80 rigs . It's interesting watching them pulling out in the mornings and then dribbling in from 11AM on .
We found a good fishing spot about 2kms along the river . Beautiful quiet spot . No-one else around , fish and yabbies there . Paradise . :P

Land Cruiser booked in for a service on Wednesday , so here for a few more days .
Going to do the Stockmans Hall of Fame and the Qantas museum things in the next couple of days , then on to Winton , Cloncurry , Mt.Isa and down to Boulia for the Camel races on 13th , 14th , 15th July .

Cheers , Brian

Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Now in Cloncurry at Wals camp . Here for a couple of days , waiting for mail .
Stayed overnight at the " Blue Healer " at Kynuna .
Not a bad pub , with an area at the back for caravans and motorhomes .
