There is a good free camp at Gin Gin too spalas .

About a kilometer past the 2 servos going north .

Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Hi Everyone
We finally left Cairns and headed for Cape Tribulation which we navigated successfully. The Daintree Rainforest was magnificent and now we can see why they are trying to preserve it for the generations to come. We continued on to Cooktown and rushed the experience a bit because we wanted to get on with our Cape York trip. Since then we have travelled hundreds of Km's over millions of corregations(but who is counting)We stopped at Hann River for 2 nights and made use of the open fire to do some camp cooking. From there we headed for Archer River Roadhouse. Boy were we glad we arrived early. The place filled up pretty quickly and they were still arriving at 8.00pm. We met some "interesting people" with some interesting viewpoints. One lady told us to watch out for the corrugations.(ha ha .... is there anything else) We hit the road fairly early and arrived in Weipa just before lunch.
The weather is beautiful and I think we'll stay for a few da
ys. This is a new experience for us and I have leatrnt to travel over the ENDLESS corrugations at about 100mph. The Landcruiser is loving it but I think Kerri's nerves are shot. We're getting used to it now and are looking forward to the next stage. We will definitly stay on Thursday Island for a day or Two.
More soon. Ted and Kerri
