Good tucker with info recommendations

It seems as though there are a few meat-eaters on the forum , so lets have some of the better butcher shops around the country .

Kootingal , just north of Tamworth ( NSW ) . The butcher is near the pub , and has very good meat .

Stewart Terrace Butchery in Gympie . Jason Buckley is the chief there . Great bloke , great meat . They breed and kill their own cattle . All Black Angus . Fantastic steaks .

Ryans in Wondai ( Qld. ) . Between Murgon and Kingaroy . For a small butcher shop , you won't see a better range of products .

Come on people , list your better butcher shops so we don't have to rely on the crap that the large supermarkets dish up .

Blackall Qld. Good butcher next to the Jackie Howe museum , opposite the Caltex servo .

Legs of mutton ( not lamb ) . Beautiful . Cooked it in the camp oven .

Rump steak $8 kilo . ( on special ) . Good thick , large , local steaks .

Plenty of other good stuff as well , and reasonably priced .

Bottle of good red wine with them .

Bloody Hell . Life's good !!!!!

They make their own . $3.50 . Damn good pies . Damn good pub .

Butcher at Nhill , Victoria .

Very good meat , and a nice bloke to go with it .

He is struggling against the local IGA .
The IGA meat is ordinary at best , but the convenience is number one for some people .

Give the butcher there a go if you are in the area . You won't be disappointed .

Visited Brown Bros. winery at Milawa a day or two ago . Tasted a few wines . Bought a few , and then called in at the Milawa bakery , just down the road , for a spot of lunch .
Large assortment of pies , all made on the spot .
I opted for a steak , cheese and bacon one . bloody fantastic .

So, recommend Milawa bakery for their pies .
