What to see, what to do, how much, can we take pets or do they accept large rigs. These are just a few things we may not have answers for. Hopefully here, our questions will be fulfilled.

Roadhouse/Pub/CP at Barrow Creek on the Stuart Hwy. north of Alice Springs.
Well worth a stop. $7.50 pn for van and 2 people.
Includes power.
The buildings are old but the pub is a classic. Even if you don't need to stay overnight or want a drink, the pub is a "must see" I reckon.
They serve great burgers too.
Cheers, Brian
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

I once worked with the Owner of the pub Les in the NT public Service back in the 70's/80's. It as a a lot of history that pub with the old overland telegraph station. The linesman was old Tom Roberts followed by Ross Stewart. Had many a good night there with many a truckie over the years. Will pull up there with motorhome soon. Magic place is th Territory

Hi Muzzy, didn't realise you were in the Territory. You've been a bit quiet lately. All going well?

All good. I guess its taken a while to get over the loss of my son. I've been up and about lately in my rig and enjoying it. Not been on line a lot though. I eventually got to visit Barrow Creek and my old mate Les last June and it was a real buzz. The place has deteriorated over the years and sadly it shows especially the ablutions. But the camp sites worth it.
