What to see, what to do, how much, can we take pets or do they accept large rigs. These are just a few things we may not have answers for. Hopefully here, our questions will be fulfilled.

We recently spent a week in the West MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs.
Some spectacular scenery in there.
We camped at Stanley Chasm camp ground, Ellery Creek Big Hole and Ormiston Gorge campground.
Stanley Chasm is run by the local aboriginal community, and the charge is $10 pp to see the Chasm and it was $5 for 2 of us to camp the night
About 20 minutes each way to walk to the Chasm and back.
Toilets and showers provided.
Also a souvenir shop and restaurant there.
Ellery Creek is in the NP and was $5 pp pn.
Toilets only.
A great swimming hole between 2 huge cliffs, but the water was very cold.
A couple of good walks around the area.
Ormiston Gorge is in the NP too. Charge is $10 pp pn. Showers and toilets there and a good kiosk.
Fantastic walk around the top of the gorge with a lookout about half-way.
A good waterhole. Plenty of water for a dip. Also heaps of birds there.
From those campsites we visited Glen Helen Gorge and resort, Redbank Gorge and Simpsons Gap.
One thing to be aware of is there is very little water available in there, and NO drinking water at all, so take enough with you for the time you intend to stay.
You need a minimum of 5 days I reckon.
Cheers, Brian
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.
