Innes National Park.

What to see, what to do, how much, can we take pets or do they accept large rigs. These are just a few things we may not have answers for. Hopefully here, our questions will be fulfilled.

Down the bottom of the Yorke Peninsular.
Innes NP is a must for anyone spending time travelling in SA I reckon.
25-30 kms across. 7 camp grounds. Most have longdrop toilets. ( that are kept clean ).
No water, power.
Good beaches for swimming and fishing.
A ripper jetty at Stenhouse Bay and another at Marion Bay which is 3 kms outside the NP.
Good fishing. Have caught whiting, gar and tommies also plenty of squid.
Blue swimmers are often here but we are apparently a bit early for them yet.
I think it's $13 pv pn, but we got an extended pass for 12 months for seniors rate of $77.
Marion Bay is a small town at the eastern entrance to the park and it has a general store / PO, fuel, gas, and also a good pub with good meals and woodfired pizzas all day every day.
We leave here tomorrow and will be back in 2 weeks time to stay again for a while.
Cheers, Brian
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Sounds great I will put that one on my list of places to stay while doing SA. Did anyone tell you the right time of year for the Blue Swimmers?
Regards, Grumpy.

There are a few blue swimmers around, But they get better as the
weather warms up.
We were in SA 2 years ago and got plenty along the Eyre Peninsular in December and January.
We are at Port Julia right now and I got 5 good ones this morning, so it's starting to look better.
Cheers, Brian
