× What to see, what to do, how much, can we take pets or do they accept large rigs. These are just a few things we may not have answers for. Hopefully here, our questions will be fulfilled.

House sitters organised, motorhome serviced, just waiting on the last of the doctors appoiintments and we are off! Going Victoria/NSW for 2-3 weeks for some meet-ups and then hitting the road up the centre and around the western half for a few months. Going to be a learning curve for a while. Don't think our weekends away and an occasional two-week trip have quite prepared us for the more remote areas but we did end up getting a sattelite phone, just to make me feel more secure.

Hopefully the really hot weather will be behind us as, with everyone else heading north, might be difficult getting into caravan parks for airconditioning, especially as we have our pet travelling with us.

Anyhow, will give reports now and then and hope to meet some of you on the road.
Cheers
Kaye

Good stuff Kaye.

Good luck out there. you'll handle it all-right. Expect a few things to go wrong at times, it always happens, but that's life

I hope we see you out there somewhere.

Cheeers, Brian.

Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Very very excited for you Kaymil! I have a rough idea what you are in for.

Like those who have hit the frog and toad before you, we look forward to reading of your new lifestyle - awesome or learning curve. So be sure to keep us all informed.

I had a quick search for the thread but it evades me; I'm sure that if you happen to pass through Blackall with a good bottle of red, you might find an experienced grey nomad who may happily share a generous conversation regarding travelling this amazing, diverse country.
;)

Meanwhile, perhaps take advantage of our Vic members invitations as you head off. If they also happen to whip up a mean scone and a cuppa, tell us that too. This is no doubt serious stuff we all need to know. :)

Counting down the days with you.

Cheers,
Sharon

Dead right Sharon.

But I'm not fussy. Anybody that arrives in Blackall with a good bottle of red will be welcome. :silly:

Are you officially on the road yet Kaye? If so I'll let keep you posted on my 4,000km pie crawl. Promise to let you know of all the good ones.
