× What to see, what to do, how much, can we take pets or do they accept large rigs. These are just a few things we may not have answers for. Hopefully here, our questions will be fulfilled.

Sometimes you've just got to get off the road completely.

These particular emus allowed me to take a close photo.
Note the dinosaur bins in the background. Guess where I am?

I ended up in the convoy of trucks delivering Hay to Ilfracombe. They may be on record for being the worlds biggest truck convoy. Someone on this forum might be able to confirm that for me.

These are the stats they told me. 258 trucks, 406 trailers, 6 Million dollars worth of hay, 1800km from Burrumbuttock to Ilfracombe, Over 13,500 rounds & square bales of hay, 800 farmers feeding 300,000 animals, Trucks from NSW, QLD, VIC, SA & TAS, 500 odd volunteers.
I hand wrote it down and couldn't find the paper that wasn't so neatly filed on my dashboard (along with home made jerky, etc) til now.

Incredibly impressive to see and a neat mob of people to meet. This shows what a true Aussie is all about. What do you think?

I have a feeling you went through Winton Smed.

The Burrumbuttock run is already becoming a legend throughout the truck industry.
Fantastic effort from farmers, truckies and all other volunteers involved.

Shows what great people we have out there in the bush. Just more stuff to love about this great country.

Cheers, Brian

Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

G'day Smed,

Not much of a run off this season. No stress, there are plenty of fish in our rivers if you can flick a lure among a snag. Some cheat and use liveys, but hey, that is cheating, not fishing. Where you headed?

Catchya soon.

In a while, crocodile
