Hi everyone,
We are bound for a one pub town in NSW for the October long weekend.
Back in 1983 David Bowie walked into the Carinda Pub and said "Hi, my name is David." and filmed his iconic Let's Dance video within. As a tribute to Bowie, the town is putting on a Festival and we are going.
An open air concert will be on Saturday September 30 and on Sunday October 1, singer Duffo will perform a re-enactment of David Bowie’s classic Let’s Dance in the Carinda Hotel. There will also be a Red Shoe homage fence where people can bring an old shoe along, paint it red, sign it and hang it plus markets, bands, entertainment and food stalls.
Since it is a short adventure for us we will simply take a tent. So keep an eye out for us in a white Landcruiser ute and say hello. See you there!
