This is a topic on most grey nomads lips. Some have been mentioned prior but if a pic could be included it would be super.
This free camp is at Burren Junction, located between Narrabri and Walgett in NSW. There are toilets, showers, mobile reception and best of all, hot springs. We have camped there on more than one occasion on our way to Lightning Ridge or Bourke (or beyond) and find sitting under the stars in a hot natural tub is a lovely way to finish a day on the road. There is also a little hotel nearby if you don't feel like cooking.

This free camp is at Morven Recreational grounds, west of Roma, located behind the main street. The town offers takeaway food, fuel and a pub.
Camping is for free but if you would like to indulge in a hot shower there is a gold coin donation box at the amenity blocks. Very clean and tidy, toilets, drinking water and power too (if you manage to get a spot near the grandstand). Plenty of room for large rigs to turn around, pets allowed and mobile reception.

Heading approx. 3kms north of Longreach is this great camp alongside a river. A great location to stay for a bit to see all the sights at Longreach such as Qantas and the Hall of Fame.
There are toilets, water and some barbecues. Plenty of room for all types of rigs, pets allowed, mobile reception and not too far away from town for a yummy espresso at Marino Bakery before you hit the frog and toad.

About half hour from Karratha is a camp called Cleaverville. I took this photo from the lookout which I am sure stands for Look Out! I walked up because the track up was steep with loose, sharp rocks as a base. Phew! There was very little shade which is the part I photographed but a nice outlook.
