All along the Murray River you will find some lovely free camps. This one is about 15km north of Corryong, had plenty of grass and shade and overall a quiet beautiful camp.

Again, Morvens recreational ground, Qld. Was $2, now $10 per night. Some sites in reach of power, hot showers and toilets. Must warn you, the pub has since burnt down.

Nindigully pub allows free camping, showers and toilets alongside the Moonie River. They are known for their 8kg burger. Order one and stay a week while you eat it.

Between Cloncurry and Mt Isa keep an eye out for the Clem Walton Dam. Lots of room, flat ground, shade, boat ramps, very nice outlook.
