This is an satellite view of The Big Desert the line on the left is the SA Victoria border. I am intrigued by the shape of the sand dunes and desert scrub that form a flying dragon about to land on a yabby. Or at least that is what I see in the picture.

MMmm !
Sure you didn't do it with mirrors and magnets Phil ?
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

I have been watching them for a few years now and haven't noticed much change. I was talking with a couple that have purchased a few acres to the north west of lake Hindmarsh recently and told them that the land they had was bare sand dunes in my youth where I used to go for walks in the desert when we camped at outlet creak. He was quite surprised and checked with some old-timers, then called me to let me know that they told him that up until the 1960's there was no vegetation at all on his land and you could get list in the dunes. Mass planting of grasses and farmers developing methods of growing wheat on the sand has changed all that.
