Thanks for sharing. Looks a wonderful trip; I hope we make it sometime. Not so sure about the windy roads though!
Cheers
Kaye

Thanks for the pics and commentary it brings back a lot of memories from our trip twenty years ago.

We made the same mistake and tried to do it in two weeks. (Impossible)

It was too fast so next time we will allow as long as it takes so we can sit back and enjoy more of the wonders for longer.

I just wish the Tasmanian government would do something about the cost of getting the rig across on the ferry. They do deals for the car but not the caravan and charge large truck rates.

Might I add it was a bit weird having daylight til 9-9.30pm. Something else to adjust to.

The cost of the ferry plus our time allowed off work was why we flew down and hired the campervan. To pay the ferry fees I imagine most would justify this expense by making their stay worthwhile, several weeks for sure.

Interesting read here:

Thanks Sharon ,

I've only seen bits and pieces of Tassie .

Would love to take the van down there for a few months . Maybe one day .

The ferry cost is . . . . . . . . . . . maybe one day .

Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

The cost for the return trip for the two of us with the rodeo and 17 ft van off peek dep 1st March ret 2 June is $1322. Without the van the car costs $89 each way. the passenger component is $322 in March but $198 in June. A pop top is cheaper due to the lower height.

Haha. We spent ten years exploring tassie and loved every day of it. We experienced snow, sleet, hail, rain and sunshine and that was just in twenty minutes. Lots to see and explore.
