Hi Neil and Judy ( and others interested in tracing the River Murray )
Well we made it to the source ! Staying at a quiet little caravan park ay Milang on Lake Alexandrina. It is a 15 min drive from Goolwa and only $26 with power.
Schoolies week is crowding out Goolwa and Victor Harbour and Pt Elliot so we drove in to Goolwa for the day and will do a cruise to the Murray mouth !
Hope you get to do it one day .
Safe travels
Nette and Pete

Must admit I was surprised at how small the river mouth is.
I know the water flow is controlled but was surprised just the same.
Last night as I was on the stair
I saw a man that wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish he'd bloody go away.

Sands,Yes the mouth is quite narrow but sand dredging is about to start again soon.
The plan is to dredge a deep hole for sand to be washed into and they will keep it permanently dredged.
A year's flow of the Murray is equivalent to one day of the Amazon's !( told by our tour guide today )
Cheers Nette and Pete
