The Revamp our Camps project has been distributed to the towns/regions along each "Popular Touring Route" (Tourways).
The concept, using the national resources of CaravanCaravan & Highway Traveller platforms, to review the camping sites in their town/region, amend if necessary, e.g. closed, $ fee, Self Contained only, 48 hours stopover etc.
Additional camping sites, e.g. Rest Areas, Free Camps, Caravan Parks & Showgrounds to be recorded.
Each town/region to be responsible for regular maintenance to ensure information is current, thus preventing disputes
Camping Sites by region, provides an extended area, surrounding a group of towns, to assist the traveller while exploring, touring & site seeing.
Members, their friends, can contribute also, to provide national registers for the benefit to the economy of many towns & to the travelling community.
